How to report a bug or system error to the development team
What to include in a bug report so the development team can fix it quickly.
Help us fix it faster
Encountered something unexpected? A well-written bug report helps our development team diagnose and resolve the issue much faster. Here is what to include.
What to include in your report
- Screenshots or screen recordings — a picture is worth a thousand words. Capture exactly what you see, including any error messages.
- Steps to reproduce — describe exactly what you did before the error appeared. Number each step.
- Browser and device information — note the browser name and version (e.g. Chrome 124), operating system and device type.
- Error messages — copy the exact error text. If the error appears in the browser console (press F12 > Console tab), include that too.
- Integration logs — if the issue involves an integration (e.g. accounting sync, 99 Error), export the relevant log from BackOffice > Integrations.
Where to submit
- In-app support — click the help icon in BackOffice to open a support ticket.
- Email — send your report to support@out-smart.com.
