Does OutSmart sync payments back from Exact or Mollie?
How Mollie webhooks and Exact Online handle payment status — and what they don't sync.
Payment sync — what to expect
This is one of the most frequently asked questions. The short answer: automatic payment status sync is limited. Here is how each integration handles it.
Mollie
Mollie is used for online invoice payments (iDEAL, credit card, etc.). When a customer pays via a Mollie checkout link, Mollie sends a webhook-based status update back to OutSmart. However, this does not automatically mark the invoice as "paid" in OutSmart — it updates the payment status on the Mollie transaction record. You may need to reconcile manually.
Exact Online
Exact Online does not sync payment status back to OutSmart. When a payment is registered in Exact, it stays in Exact. OutSmart does not pull payment confirmations from Exact.
Manual reconciliation
For both integrations, you can register transactions manually in OutSmart to keep your records in sync.
Known limitation
We are aware that fully automated payment reconciliation is a desired feature. It is not currently available but may be considered for future development.
